Web training in Dynamic Control

Ekan's digital education about Dynamic Control summarizes almost 50 years of learning and Ekan's 20 years of practical experience in financial and operational management according to the principles of Beyond Budgeting.

In today's rapidly changing business climate, all organizations need to have the ability to manage agile and dynamically. Our digital training focuses on the interplay between control and management processes, especially how the budget process can be adapted to deal with uncertainty and changes in the outside world.

You will learn practical methods and tools that increase cost efficiency and promote agility within your organization.

The training consists of 5 modules of approximately 15-25 minutes each. After each module there is a knowledge test where you can verify your knowledge of each area. When you have completed the course, you will be awarded a diploma which can be used to strengthen your CV. The following modules are included in the course package:

Module 1 – Introduction to Management
The first module provides an overview of what governance means and why it is important. We discuss historical impacts and identify problems with traditional governance.

Module 2 – Dynamic Control
This module introduces the concept of Dynamic Management, also known as Agile Management. We explore the motivations behind this, and present several examples of how organizations have successfully applied this approach.

Module 3 – Dynamic monitoring, planning and forecasting
Here you will learn how to transition from traditional follow-up to more dynamic methods. We go through techniques to continuously follow up, visualize and control costs, as well as work with rolling planning and forecasts.

Module 4 – Dynamic target control
In this module we delve into dynamic goal control. You will learn how to separate objectives from missions and direction, and be given a set of action options based on level of detail and reference points. We also show how to use visualization of indicators to motivate good performance.

Module 5 – Dynamic resource allocation
The final module is about how to move from traditional resource allocation to more dynamic methods. We discuss how resources can be allocated in development projects and give examples of methods and visualizations for effective resource allocation.
