The customer

The client is a technical and infrastructure management company in one of Sweden's metropolitan municipalities. The management company is responsible for strategic decisions within climate protection and technical infrastructure.

The customer's challenge

Technical and infrastructural climate protection is one of the most important issues for municipalities in the medium term. A major challenge is that research in the area is developing rapidly and is very complex. The customer needed AI tools to automatically compile the current state of research, identify relevant data and produce rational decision-making based on scientific insights.

Our solution

Ekan helped the municipality by reframing their needs into tasks adapted for AI-based working methods. Together with our partner Eghed, we developed a customized AI tool with a RAG model* to streamline data management and decision-making. This included:

*The RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) model combines AI language processing with direct references to sources for increased transparency and reliability.
